European Association for Comparative Economic Studies Conference, Brighton September 2006

Here is a draft paper by Denis Redžepagić and myself 'Rethinking Clusters and Social Capital in Croatia' presented at the EACES Conference. More details of the conference can be found here. The text represents a first attempt to sketch a research agenda on the relationship between micro-economic phenomena, development policies and social capital. Social Policy and Regional Development Conference, Zagreb 30 November 2006

This is a draft paper by Vesna Bošnjak and myself entitled 'Just Welfare?: social services reform in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia' accepted to be presented at this conference organised by the Institute of Economics, Zagreb and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Croatia. The paper is our attempt to sketch a systems approach to deinstitutionalisation seeking to link it with decentralisation and meso-level planning. Comments welcome.
